MANCHESTER, N.H. - The New Hampshire Game Wardens' bats were hot on Saturday as they defeated the Maine Game Wardens 11-6 in the North Woods Throwdown softball game. The game, held annually, helps benefit anti-poaching organizations Maine Operation Game Thief, International Wildlife Crimestoppers and the New Hampshire Conservation Officers Relief Association.

Bangor community pools open for the summer
BANGOR, Maine — Residents of the Greater Bangor area are diving into the city’s two community pools following the facilities opening for the summer season on Wednesday. Recent years have been challenging for the Beth Pancoe Aquatic Center and the Dakin Pool due to staffing issues. However, this year Bangor has 25 lifeguards on staff, but Director of Bangor Parks and Recreation Tracy Willette would like to see that figure grow closer to 30.
