Dallas County Sheriff’s Office investigating Orrville murder

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a murder that occurred Sunday morning in Orrville.

According to Dallas County Chief Deputy John Hatfield, the fatal shooting occurred at the parking lot of Shot Boys Lounge in Orrville around 2:30 a.m. Jeremy Bryant, 19, was pronounced dead on arrival at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. The other victim, Mario Simms, received a gunshot to the lower leg, was treated and released.

Hatfield said the DCSO has warrants on five suspects involved in the fatal shooting and that they’re searching for them. Hatfield did not reveal their identities, saying the suspects will be charged with felony murder, second-degree assault and shooting into an occupied building once arrested.  He said 100 shell casings were recovered.

The shooting remains under investigation by the DCSO.
