    Central Alabama CrimeStoppers offering award for Orrville murder

    Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering an award for the murder of an Orrville man on July 8.

    Jeremy “Chop” Deuntae Bryant, 19, was fatally shot around 2:40 a.m. on July 8  at Shop Boyz Lounge in Orrville. Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said Bryant was pronounced dead at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Another victim, an unidentified man, was shot in the leg and later treated for injuries and released.

    DCSO Chief Deputy John Hatfield said Tremark Atkins of Selma was arrested this week and charged with felony murder, second-degree assault and shooting into an occupied building.  Hatfield also said warrants are out for four other suspects with charges of felony murder, second-degree assault and shooting into an occupied building awaiting them.

    CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the shooter.
