A shelter in Ohio located the owner of a lost dog after it was found wandering the aisles of a Flying J truck stop on Monday morning. A clerk at the Flying J in Hubbard Township, Ohio was working at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22nd when a dog snuck in through the front doors when a customer stepped inside.

Ohio Department of Natural Resources open new trail at Findley State Park
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources opened a new trail at Findley State Park on Saturday. The Dorothy and Corbett Walker Memorial Trail is named for Dorothy and Corbett Walker, who called their nearly 125-acre farm “Walnut Valley” and settled in the area more than 75 years ago after Corbett Walker’s service in World War II, according to an ODNR news release.

Ohio lawmakers still haven’t taken steps to repeal the rest of the nuclear and coal bailout bill, which is the focus of what prosecutors say was a roughly $60 million bribery scheme by utility FirstEnergy and its affiliates. Cases continue to wind through the courts, and two men implicated in the scandal have apparently taken their own lives.
Fire destroys restaurant, hall on West Side; firefighter injured
CLEVELAND, Ohio — A fire at a restaurant and hall on the West Side rekindled after it was initially controlled, destroying the building and injuring a firefighter. According to the city fire department, the blaze first started in the restaurant, reportedly Gargano’s, located near the intersection of West 25th Street and Marvin Avenue in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood. There were no injuries to people who were in the restaurant.
