Numbers Band Makes Their Annual Appearance at Akron Art Museum’s Downtown @ Dusk
Thu 7/25 @ 6:30-8PM Kent’s Numbers Band, which debuted in the summer of 1970, has plugged on without a break ever since, is one of northeast Ohio’s musical treasures. Fronted by intense, charismatic singer/songwriter/guitarist Robert Kidney, the band has forged its own distinctive sound out of rock and roll, blues and jazz. While clearly there’ve been many personnel changes in a band with such a long history, Bob’s multi-instrumentalist brother jack Kidney and sax/keyboards player Terry Hynde have been along for a significant chunk of the ride. The current band also features two more local music scene veterans: bassist Bill Watson and drummer Clint Alguire.
