GENESEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - Firefighters found a Vietnam War veteran and his dog dead after their house caught fire in Genesee Township early Thursday. Genesee Township Fire Chief Don Fremd said the fire was reported around 4:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Clovis Avenue a short distance east of Saginaw Street in the Beecher area.
Tour guide program to provide personal, friendly touch for visitors
WELLSBORO — To encourage repeat tourism visits and word of mouth, local hospitality leaders are developing a program to provide visitors with a warm, personal touch. Clare Ritter and Tracy Fox, both professionals in the hospitality industry, are training volunteers to serve as guides for walking and bus tours. Elkland abruptly adjourns meeting
Elkland Borough Council failed to handle agenda business at the July 11 meeting after the agenda was rearranged without comment.
