ELMIRA HEIGHTS, NY (WENY) -- A former diner could soon be torn down to make way for a brand new Dollar General in Elmira Heights. The former Manos Diner is on the agenda for the Chemung County Planning Board on July 25th. Horseheads Village Fire Department in Need of Repairs, Upgrades
HORSEHEADS, NY (WENY) -- A facility study of the Horseheads Village Fire Department shows the building is in need of significant repairs and improvements. The results of the facility study on the fire department, conducted by Hunt Engineers, Architects & Surveyors, was presented to the Horseheads Village Board of Trustees Thursday evening. The study found the fire department building was in need of mostly structural and architectural repairs. However, some other components are not up to current code standards, and would need to be updated.
