The Moving Wall Moves On
TIOGA, PA (WENY) -- After six days and welcoming thousands of visitors, The Moving Wall has come down at Williamson High School in Tioga, Pennsylvania. The final visitors spent the last few moments looking at the names on the wall, which is a half-sized traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, DC. Monday afternoon, volunteers helped to disassemble the wall, which was loaded back on the truck, and will eventually head to its next destination.

Hot, Humid and Hazy with Thunderstorms Possible
The heat and humidity are sticking around Tuesday with highs in the upper-80s and lower-90s. Hazy sunshine is expected with another chance for strong to severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Scattered thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday night with lows in the upper-60s. The last round of showers and thunderstorms will sweep through Wednesday as a cold front drops down. A few storms could be strong to severe. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s. Temperatures will remain in the lower-80s to end out the week. Not only will we see relief from the heat, but relief from the humidity. Partly sunny skies are expected on Thursday and Friday. Accident lie leads to charges for Wellsboro man
Galeton, Pa. — A Wellsboro man got into legal trouble after he tried blaming a group of teens for a crash, police say. Wellsboro, CV to compete in 'Battle in the Bowl'
The Wellsboro and Cowanesque Valley football teams will be competing this Saturday, July 20 in Sayre in the second year of the Battle of the Bowl seven-on-seven tournament. The tournament will take place at the Lockhart Street Bowl with 10 teams competing including Elmira Heights, Susquehanna, Schuyler County, Horseheads, Sayre, Spencer-Van Etten, Waverly, Athens, Wellsboro, and CV in a tournament that features not only PA teams, but New York teams as well.
Work progressing on Pizza Hut building in Corning, a 'wonderful' addition to Northside
Construction crews are busy working to update and reopen the old Pizza Hut building on Corning’s northside. The East Pulteney Street site was one of 17 Pizza Hut restaurants that closed in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Other closures included locations in Elmira, Hornell and Bath. Pizza Hut returned to Elmira in November 2022 with a delivery and takeout-only location, and now, it's poised for a comeback in Steuben County.
