A decomposed body was found in a south suburban pump house on Tuesday, according to police.ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. ISP Improves Crash Investigation & Safety Techniques
To help with traffic crash investigations, as well as identify best practices to keep officers safe, the Illinois State Police (ISP) participated in the Illinois Association of Technical Accident Investigators crash testing event on June 26-28, 2024. The event took place at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. ISP officers from the Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit, Crime Scene Services, Division of Patrol, and representatives from the ISP Forensic Laboratory joined law enforcement officers and crash scene investigators from other agencies for the three-day event. Attendees witnessed live crash testing and participated in forensic mapping and digital evidence recovery.

GENEVA, Ill. - A homeless man was arrested for allegedly causing a public disturbance near the Geneva train station on Monday. The Oswego Police Department says one person was hurt when he crashed into a BMW while riding a motorized skateboard Saturday in the area of Douglas and Longbeach roads. Authorities say 34-year-old James Holod, of Montgomery, was heading north on Douglas Road on a motorized skateboard when he hit a BMW driven by a 53-year-old Oswego man who was heading south on Douglas Road and turning onto Longbeach Road.
Shooting In Naperville Sends Man To Hospital
Naperville police continue to investigate a shooting incident Sunday morning that resulted in a man being hospitalized. On Sunday at approximately 5:12am, Naperville police received a call indicating that a gunshot was heard in the 1500 block of Watkins Lane. The caller related that three individuals were involved in an argument in the parking lot and that, during the argument, a gunshot was heard. The caller reported that the three subjects fled on foot.
One person seriously hurt after jumping off bridge in Aurora
The Kane County Sheriff's Office says a man was seriously hurt after jumping from the Farnsworth Bridge onto I-88 Thursday afternoon in Aurora. The sheriff's office says it happened at about 1:47 p.m. into eastbound traffic near mile marker 119. No vehicles hit the man, who is said to have jumped on purpose. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
