Jury finds man guilty of robbery, assault, arson
Oct. 29—LIMA — A jury found a Columbus Grove man guilty Tuesday in the Allen County Common Pleas Court after a July 22 altercation that resulted in the man receiving aggravated robbery, two felonious assault and arson charges. The jury also found Paul Pursell, 57, guilty of four firearm specifications, and determined the property destroyed was worth more than $1,000 for the arson charge. ...
Bicyclist dies after falling into roadway, Findlay police say
FINDLAY, Ohio — A person died Wednesday morning after falling off a bicycle and into an oncoming vehicle's path, Findlay police said. According to a press release from the Findlay Police Department, Dennis McCracken, 85, was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk in the 700 block of West Trenton Avenue at approximately 9:42 a.m. Police said in the report that McCracken lost control of the bicycle and fell into the eastbound lanes of traffic in the roadway.
Lima man sentenced to 21 years on drug charges
Oct. 29—LIMA — A Lima man was sentenced to 21 years in prison Monday in the Allen County Common Pleas Court for charges dealing with fentanyl. Eleven years of Seyoum Lawrence's sentence are mandatory, and five years after that he will be eligible to apply for judicial release. Man sentenced to life in prison for murder, kidnapping of Ohio infant in 2023
SENECA COUNTY, Ohio — A man found out his sentencing Monday, delivered in Seneca County for the 2023 murder and kidnapping of an Ohio infant. According to court records, Jonathan Baker will spend life in prison without parole for the murder of a 7-month-old from North Baltimore, Ohio. Baker was convicted of the June 27, 2023 murder and kidnapping on Oct. 4.
