The Terre Haute Symphony and Labor Link bring Bourbon & Blues to Hulman Center on Friday August 30, 6:30pm-9:30pm, featuring St. Louis Blues artist Brian Curran alongside Solly Burton and Brent McPike, bourbon tastings from 15 vendors, a buffet catered by Butta’s Better BBQ, and a cash bar with special event cocktails by The Verve. T.H. Man Dead after Shooting in Edgar Co. Illinois
According to the Illinois State Police a shooting occurred around 3:30 Friday afternoon in the community of Kansas in Edgar County Illinois and two men were taken to the hospital. The coroner reports that 34-year-old Xavier Harris of Terre Haute was airlifted to a hospital in Urbana where he later died. The coroner says Harris died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police have not released information on the other victim or what led to the shooting. It remains under investigation.
