Voting is underway for USA Today's 10Best's 'best lake for swimming,' and one Colorado lake was nominated.

USA Today's 10Best is an award program in which an expert panel nominates their top 20 picks for the category and readers vote for their favorites to determine the winners. The awards highlight the best in everything – from destinations and hotels to food, drinks, and things to do.

Colorado's Grand Lake is currently ranking 14th-place in the vote. At more than 500 acres and almost 400 feet deep in some spots, Grand Lake is Colorado's largest and deepest natural lake. Located in the town of Grand Lake (known as the western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park), the lake is surrounded by some of Colorado's most beautiful mountain peaks.

The lake offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation, including kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and of course, swimming. The area even has a sandy beach to enjoy and warm up from the chilly water.

Readers can vote once per day until polls close on June 3 at noon. The ten winners will be announced on June 12.
