Video footage published online captures a weekend landspout tornado on the ground near Eads, Colorado, which is a town of about 700 residents located in the state's Eastern Plains region.

According to poster Stefan Klein , the tornado was spotted from 3:26 p.m. to 3:33 p.m. on May 12, though it could have been two separate landspouts given a brief disappearance. Another landspout was also spotted in the area, on the ground at about 3:49 p.m.

Watch the clip that was captured below:

According to the National Weather Service , a landspout tornado "is a tornado with a narrow, rope-like condensation funnel that forms while [a] thunderstorm cloud is still growing and there is no rotating updraft – spinning motion originates near the ground."

Typically, a landspout tornado is not dangerous and in Colorado, they're fairly common.
