Many people have traveled from far and wide to see Colorado's Bishop Castle – but an upcoming event is set to let it be seen as few have seen it before.

Located near Rye, Colorado, Bishop Castle is widely considered the country's largest one-man construction project. Construction of the 160-foot-tall structure has been ongoing since 1969, with Jim Bishop spending more than five decades turning the stone and metal structure into a must-see roadside stop.

Over the years, many visitors to the structure have likely noticed a large dragon that sits on top. The dragon adds to the personality of the spot, sure, but it's also capable of launching a trail of flames from its mouth – a spectacle that's rarely seen.

Those interested in seeing the dragon in full glory should head to Bishop Castle on Labor Day weekend, with the dragon set to breath fire at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, and again at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, September 2, according to a post on the Bishop Castle Facebook page .

Find this attraction at 12705 State Highway 165 in Rye. Know that this spot has a tendency to get crowded on weekends and parking can sometimes be tricky.
