Alabama residents will soon get first shot at state park campsites
Starting Thursday, Alabama residents get an inside lane on booking advance reservations in state parks – provided they plan far enough ahead. Effective Aug. 1, a new feature will open at the online reservation system operated by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. It’s called the “Alabama Residents Advanced Reservation Window.”

Huntsville Center project restores site at Fort Stewart
Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville is completing the demolition of the Southeast Region Britain School located on Fort Stewart, Georgia. “The demolition aims to pave the way for new infrastructure in the area, enhancing resources and services for Soldiers and their families,” Jake Gassaway, Facilities Reduction Program project manager, said.
