Teen detained after escaping home detention
BEDFORD – On Wednesday, July 17, Bedford Police officers responded to 20th and H Streets at 9:42 a.m. to pick up a female juvenile on a charge of escape from home detention. Police say the juvenile left the home on foot, and her mother was following her in a black sedan.

Fire Incident at State Road 58 and 700 E in Elnora
The Elnora Fire Department, along with multiple units, responded to a trailer fire at the intersection of State Road 58 and 700 E in Elnora yesterday. The call was received at 1:29 PM, reporting a trailer loaded with hay on fire. Units from various departments, including the Elnora Volunteer Fire Department, Madison, and Plainville, were dispatched to the scene. The fire was eventually controlled, and the scene was cleared by 6:22 p.m. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The responsible party has been tasked with cleaning the hay off the roadway.
