    Owingsville pair charged in connection with drug trafficking investigation

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A man and woman from Owingsville were charged in connection with a drug trafficking investigation on Saturday.

    The investigation began with the purchase of “illegal narcotics” out of Bath County, per law enforcement. Court documents show that a warrant was issued for 30-year-old Misty Helton and 25-year-old Sean Dingess of Owingsville in May.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) posted on Facebook that the investigation concluded on Tuesday with the arrest of Helton and Dingess.

    According to law enforcement, Helton was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense) and being a first-degree persistent felony offender. Dingess was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense).

    Dingess and Helton were both lodged in the Montgomery County Regional Jail.
