Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is looking to get the (Lane) train back on the tracks after a brutal stretch in recruiting.

On Friday, four-star running back Akylin Dear became the fourth member of the Rebels' 2025 recruiting class to pull his commitment over the past week. Kiffin isn't spending any time fretting over Dear's decision, albeit one that absolutely stings, and is already closing in on another top target at the same position.

It was on Saturday when RB Shekai Mills-Knight reveled his top eight which featured Ole Miss along with Ohio State, Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Miami and Michigan.

Mills-Knight (Chattanooga, Tenn.) is currently rated as a three-star and the No. 14 player in the state of Tennessee, per On3's Industry Rankings . The Baylor School star stands at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds with the athleticism to make an impact as a freshman.

Ole Miss badly needs a premier running back out of high school as it will have to prepare for life after Ulysses Bentley IV, Henry Parrish Jr. and Logan Diggs who each have just one year of eligibility remaining.

Kiffin and Co. are making noise around the country despite the program's four departures. Ole Miss is also in the mix for five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham who released his top six earlier in the week.
