With action in the transfer portal slowing down, it is time to take a closer look at how each P4 school did during this cycle. Up now are the Ole Miss Rebels

The skinny: While the Rebels had 22 scholarship players enter the transfer portal, an argument can be made that the only significant loss was RB Quinshon Judkins . However, this was a very significant loss, as Judkins was one of the top offensive weapons in the SEC. If anyone was prepared to respond to a loss like this it would be head coach Lane Kiffin , who has used the transfer portal as his playground during the last few years. Aside from adding a few running back replacements, the Rebels signed plenty of other intriguing talent, as they hope to make a move up the SEC ladder in 2024.

Total # entries into portal: 34

Total # of scholarship players who entered portal: 22

Number of scholarship players who withdrew: 0

Key losses: RB Quinshon Judkins (Ohio State)

Key additions: DL Walter Nolen (Texas A&M), DE Princely Umanmielen (Florida), LB Chris Paul Jr. (Arkansas), DB Isaiah Hamilton (Houston), WR Antwane Wells Jr. (South Carolina), OL Diego Pounds (North Carolina), OL Nate Kalepo (Washington), DB Trey Amos (Alabama)

Final thoughts: It was nearly impossible to replace someone of Judkins’ skill with one player, so the Rebels brought in three transfers to figure out a solution. It is anyone’s guess who will ultimately become the most important addition but look for all three (Henry Parrish (Miami-Florida), Logan Diggs (LSU), Jacory Croskey-Merritt (New Mexico)) to get a fair shot. Also on offense, the passing game was enhanced with the addition of WR Antwane Wells Jr. and the line was solidified with Diego Pounds and Nate Kalepo. On defense, notable talent was added on all three levels, with DL Walter Nolen, DE Princely Umanmielen, LB Chris Paul Jr., DB Isaiah Hamilton and DB Trey Amos all expected to be key contributors. The talent is there for the Rebels, now they have to put everything together on the field.
