The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss will host former Rebel baseball player and current country music sensation Brett Young the night before the Ole Miss home football game against Furman.

The Aug. 30th concert will feature two former Ole Miss players on stage: Young and fellow country star Josh Kelley.

Young pitched for the Rebels in 2000, while Kelley was on the men’s golf team in 2000-01.

In addition, Mustache the Band will bring their popular 90s country party to the lineup.

The concert starts at 7 p.m.

Young’s self-titled debut EP, was released in 2016. The lead single, “Sleep Without You,” was released on April 11 that year, and he had a significant success with a follow-up single, “In Case You Didn’t Know.”

He released his second major label album Ticket to L.A. in 2018.

In April 2020, Young released the single “Lady,” which he wrote about his wife and daughter. It is the lead-off single to his third studio album, Weekends Look a Little Different These Days, which was released on June 4, 2021.

“Lady” reached number one on the Country Airplay chart in April 2021.
