Oxford’s newest Chick-fil-A opens Tuesday in Oxford Commons

The new Chick-fil-A restaurant will begin serving the Oxford community on Tuesday.

It is the second location owned by Oxonian Lance Reed.

Located at 800 Sisk Ave., Chick-fil-A East Oxford will be open for dine-in and carry-out from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and drive-thru from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The new restaurant will built by Stansell Construction out of Florida.

In addition, Chick-fil-A East Oxford will offer Mobile Thru , a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed on the Chick-fil-A app.

Before becoming a local owner-operator, Reed and his wife, Amanda, dedicated several years to serving in a ministry focused on charitable and humanitarian efforts. While Reed was initially hesitant to embark on entrepreneurship, he realized he could continue making a positive impact on the community in a unique way.

This led him to pursue a career at Chick-fil-A, where for the past 15 years, he has proudly served the Oxford community as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A West Jackson Avenue, which he will continue to operate alongside his new restaurant.

“Having the opportunity to bring the first Chick-fil-A to this community has been nothing short of a gift. In the last 15 years, my Team Members and I have had the privilege of building strong relationships while aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve,” Reed said.

Excited and eager to bring the second Chick-fil-A restaurant to Oxford, Reed said he most looks forward to continuing the restaurant’s third annual Princess Ball, where fathers and daughters in the community come together to share lasting memories.

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Memphis area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Reed’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. More than 25 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In addition, Chick-fil-A East Oxford is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Oxford area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
