Here's a roundup of recent incidents and announcements from Ventura County agencies:

2 injured in crash with motorcycle, tractor-trailer

Two people were ejected from a motorcycle and injured after crashing into a tractor-trailer at an Oxnard intersection on Sunday night.

The Oxnard Police Department and an ambulance responded at 7:11 p.m. at South Rose and Mountain View avenues and found two people in the roadway, authorities said in a news release.

Both people were transported to the Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries, while the tractor-trailer driver remained on scene and spoke to investigators. No information about the two was available as of Monday morning.

The tractor-trailer driver was headed eastbound on Mountain Avenue when he stopped at Rose Avenue and entered the intersection to make a left turn, according to the release.

The motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Rose Avenue and veered to the left to avoid crashing into the tractor-trailer but wasn’t able to avoid a collision, according to the release.

The Suzuki GSX motorcycle struck the front driver’s side of the tractor-trailer and the force ejected both people from the bike.

Investigators do not believe the motorcyclists were impaired. Speed may have been a factor, according to the release. The investigation is ongoing.

A 29-year-old Temple City man believed to be a regional illegal drug supplier was arrested last week, and a stockpile of narcotics was seized after a monthslong investigation, authorities said.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office said the investigation by a countywide drug taskforce began after an April arrest in Oxnard that ulimately led them Thursday to the San Gabriel Valley man authorities said had been selling large amounts of narcotics.

Detectives also served search warrants at sites in Temple City, El Monte, San Gabriel, Irwindale and Rosemead where they seized nearly 2 kilograms of fentanyl, more than 4 pounds of methamphetamine, 18,000 fentanyl-laced pills disguised as the popular painkiller Oxycodone, 734 Adderall pills used to treat ADHD, ectasy and over 150 pounds of marijuana, psylocibin mushrooms and butane honey oil.

The raid also turned up four illegal handguns and cash from what was believed to be drug sales, the sheriff's office said.

The man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of multiple drug and gun charges and posted bail the same day, sheriff's officials said. He is set to be arraigned in Ventura County Superior Court July 25, according to the sheriff's office.
