Ben Affleck was ‘always’ Kick Kennedy’s celebrity crush before they started hanging out: report

Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy reportedly had eyes for Ben Affleck long before they started mingling.

Over the weekend, Page Six exclusively revealed the pair have been hanging out amid Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez — and now sources tell People that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 36-year-old daughter has “always” had a crush on the A-list actor.

“Kick’s celeb crush has always been Ben,” an insider told the outlet Monday.

They described Kick, an actress and activist, as a “partier” who “likes to have a good time.”

Kick and Affleck, 52, reportedly started getting to know one another in late spring. However, it’s unclear how the two met or the nature of their relationship.

Lopez and Affleck notably separated on April 26, 2024. However, the “Jenny From the Block” singer didn’t file for divorce until last week — the same day as their second wedding anniversary.

A rep for Kick declined to comment to Page Six.

Although Kick and Affleck have kept their friendship under wraps, a Hollywood insider recently told us the two have been spotted at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and other hotspots.

Kick is RFK Jr.’s eldest daughter and the second of his six children. She has had several small roles in projects like “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Gossip Girl” since studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in West Hollywood.

Although Kick has kept her private life out of the public eye, she was romantically linked to Paul Simon’s son Harper Simon from 2013 to 2014.

She also dated billionaire bank heir Matthew Mellon in the months leading up to his tragic death in 2018, which left her “heartbroken.”

Meanwhile, Affleck was married to ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who social media users believe bears an uncanny resemblance to Kick, from 2005 to 2018.

After their split, the “Argo” actor reconciled with Lopez in 2021 and they wed a year later.

Although the “Wedding Planner” actress recently filed to end their two-year marriage, we’re told things ended in March — the same month Affleck moved out of their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Insiders told us that Lopez was “furious” and “humiliated” about their split since Affleck “initiated getting back together” nearly 20 years after their first ill-fated romance.

“He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life,” explained the source. “They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids.”

Other sources told us the “protective” Oscar winner let Lopez file the paperwork to avoid embarrassing her further.
