Hammer, who is turning 38 on Wednesday, also shared why it is so difficult for him to get rid of his truck.

“I bought this for myself in 2017 as a Christmas gift for myself … and I have loved this truck intensely and taken it camping and across country multiple times and on long road trips,” he noted.

He also recalled picking up his children in the truck after their births, noting they would not be happy about his selling it.

The scandal and allegations hit Hammer’s career hard as he was ousted from Hollywood. He has not been in a film since “Death on the Nile,” which came out in 2022.

He called the allegations “an ego death, a career death” on the “Painful Lesson” podcast . However, he revealed the upside of the situation.

“I’m actually now at a place where I’m really grateful for it because where I was in my life before all of that stuff happened to me,” he explained in June.

“I didn’t feel good. I never felt satisfied, I never had enough. I never was in a place where I was happy with myself — where I had self-esteem.”

He added, “But the buildings were still standing. I’m still here, I still have my health, and I’m really grateful for that.”

Amid the allegations, Hammer also checked himself into a 12-step program for various addiction issues.

Though reports at the time claimed Robert Downey Jr. paid for his rehab, Hammer denied the rumor in July.

During his appearance on the “Club Random” podcast in July, the “Rebecca” actor revealed his finances were in a difficult place but again confirmed that he’s happier than ever.

“You know what it’s taught me is that I don’t need [money] because I’ve never been happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life,” he said.
