KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Kanawha County couple who were charged after their children were found allegedly living in deplorable conditions appeared in court Thursday. Justin Burdette, 40, and Caitlin Loveless, 32, both of St. Albans pleaded not guilty to child neglect creating a substantial risk of serious bodily injury and death.

Ohio man pleads not guilty in Kanawha County shooting that injured woman
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — An Ohio man accused of shooting a woman in Kanawha County earlier this year pleaded not guilty to multiple charges Thursday. Aweis Mohammed Abdi, 29, of Columbus, Ohio, pleaded not guilty to malicious wounding, wanton endangerment and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm during a court appearance Thursday.

Summers County Performing Arts to begin fall semester
HINTON W.Va. (Hinton News) - Summers County Performing Arts, under the direction of Artistic Director Lisa Ann Colombo, will begin its fall semester on August 26. Ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, piano, voice, actor’s connection, violin, line dancing and ballroom dancing are among the classes offered. The studio, located at 211 Temple Street in historic downtown Hinton, is a professional performing arts studio.
