Big Fish Summer – Erin Swan’s largemouth bass
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – It’s time for the next special edition of 18 Sports’ Big Fish Summer. Congratulations to Erin Swan who caught this largemouth bass from Cranberry Lake in Addison presented by Valley Wholesale Bait and Tackle. Swan’s catch is one of the biggest largemouth bass’ we’ve seen so far this summer and hopefully here’s to many more.

Former Manos Diner Site Could Become Dollar General
ELMIRA HEIGHTS, NY (WENY) -- A former diner could soon be torn down to make way for a brand new Dollar General in Elmira Heights. The former Manos Diner is on the agenda for the Chemung County Planning Board on July 25th. A Pennsylvania-based developer is requesting site plan approval to demolish the diner and parking lot at 2048 Pennsylvania Avenue. They would then build a 12,000 square foot Dollar General store.

HAMMONDSPORT, N.Y. (WENY) -- A local winery has taken home two of the top awards in the 38th Annual New York Wine Classic. Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Wednesday night that Weis Vineyards in Hammondsport was awarded the Governor's Cup for their 2018 Riesling Ice Wine.
