Staffordsville man sentenced to nine years in fentanyl trafficking case
A Staffordsville man was sentenced to serve nine years in prison on Jan. 26, after pleading guilty to fentanyl trafficking charges in August. U.S. District Judge Danny C. Reeves sentenced Kevin Clay, 48, of Stafford Cemetery Road, Staffordsville, to serve 54 months each on charges of possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, with both sentences to run consecutively for a total of 108 months. After release, Clay will be supervised for a total of four years, with four years supervised release per charge running concurrently.
