3 agencies respond to multi-acre fire in Beaver Tail
DE BEQUE, Colo. (KREX) — An evening fire that started around a few acres quickly nearly tripled in size around the Beaver Tail area east of Grand Junction. The fire, estimated to be between 10 to 13 acres, started around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. The fire, which is above Interstate 70, mile marker 51 in De Beque Canyon, was around 3 to 5 acres about an hour after it started before increasing in size.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - A drastic shift in our weather pattern will mean a drastic shift in our weather for the rest of this week. A low pressure trough sagging south from Canada has shifted the deep-layer wind flow of the atmosphere. It’s now a west/northwesterly flow, which is dry. After nearly two weeks of a more humid flow, we’ll notice a significant drop in the humidity. Lower humidity means our swamp coolers will be working better to cool our homes.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced their annual Brechler Awards on Monday (July 1) morning. The Brechler awards are given to the programs with the best team grade-point average in the conference with one going to each of the sponsored sports.
