The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man described as armed and dangerous who is accused of pistol-whipping a gas station attendant and threatening to kill him.

The sheriff’s office is asking people to be on the lookout for Jebea Sincere Johnson, 21, of Palm Coast.

Johnson was described as Black, 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds.

Police are asking that anyone who sees him does not approach him and instead calls law enforcement.

Johnson is wanted in an assault at a Shell gas station at 5 Old Kings Road in Palm Coast on June 21, in which he pistol-whipped the clerk several times, causing significant injuries, the sheriff’s office stated.

Johnson demanded the clerk pre-charge the gas pump for $30 worth of gas, the sheriff’s office stated. When the clerk refused, Johnson threatened to kill him.

The pump was activated but the fuel was not pumped.

Johnson was driving a white 2009 Honda Accord.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson on charges of burglary with an assault or battery; burglary while armed; aggravated assault (deadly weapon); aggravated battery; possession of firearm by convicted in state felon; and attempted robbery with a firearm.

Johnson was released from prison on April 8, 2024, after serving two years and four months for domestic violence; aggravated assault – deadly weapon without intent to kill; tampering with evidence; weapon – improper exhibit of firearm; and possession of weapon by a delinquent adult felon.

“This is an armed and dangerous fugitive that we need to get off the street before he can hurt anyone else,” Sheriff Rick Staly stated. “If you see him, do not approach him. Instead, contact the Flagler County Sheriff's Office by calling 911 or 386-313-4911 or your local law enforcement agency.”

Callers can also email TIPS@FlaglerSheriff.com or call CrimeStoppers of Northeast Florida at 888-277-TIPS where you could be eligible for an award up to $5,000.
