KTOO reports a petition to ban large cruise ships on Saturdays and the Fourth of July now has enough signatures to be on the ballot in October. The melting of Alaska's Juneau ice field—which contains more than 1,000 glaciers—is accelerating and could reach a tipping point much sooner than predicted, according to research published Tuesday.
