Messiah Young, a student at Morehouse College, and Taniyah Pilgrim, a student at Spelman College, got stuck in traffic as the streets filled with protesters on May 30, 2020. Billed as “part podcast, art exhibit and old-school mix tape,” the series covers topics dear to Atlanta, such as its railroad history, Woodruff Park, Sweet Auburn and much more. Man Shot in Dispute at Brookside Park Apartment Homes, 20-Year-Old Suspect Arrested
At approximately 12:53 a.m. on July 18, 2024, officers from Atlanta Police Zone 1 were dispatched to a report of a shooting at 565 Saint Johns Ave. SW, Brookside Park Apartment Homes. Upon arrival, they found a 55-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance and is in stable condition.
