Shasta School Board Vows to Defy New Student Privacy Law
Anderson Union High School Board President Jackie LaBarbera says her district will defy a new law that bars schools from notifying parents about a child's gender status. “The board has no plans to change any policy with regard to parental notifications. The last two years, Anderson has been very clear on its parental rights stance. Through policy and resolutions, we have proven we will stand by a parents right to be involved in every aspect of their child's education,” LaBarbera told KRCR.

Carr Fire victims remembered with memorials in Redding amid six-year anniversary
REDDING, Calif. — This week marks the six-year anniversary of the Carr Fire striking the Whiskeytown and west Redding area, which claimed the lives of eight victims.
