    Florida man with multiple suspended licenses led police on a pursuit, investigation underway

    BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an incident involving a motorcyclist with multiple suspended licenses who led police on a pursuit resulting in a collision.

    According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 12:20 a.m. when a Florida Highway Patrol official was conducting traffic enforcement on Front Beach Road in the area of Clara Avenue.

    The FHP supervisor observed a black Harley Davidson motorcycle operating recklessly and activated his lights and siren, the driver of the motorcycle rapidly accelerated, actively fleeing eastbound on State Road 30. The pursuit lasted over .5 miles when the motorcycle collided with two other vehicles, officials wrote.

    The motorcycle driver was a 34-year-old male from Pompano Beach, Florida. Officials confirmed he had a suspended Florida license, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

    Officials said the driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported to Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital.

    The driver will possibly face additional charges of fleeing, reckless driving, and speed, officials said.

    The pursuit and crash remain under investigation.

    The Panama City Beach Police Department assisted with securement during the initial investigation.
