Registration open for programs at Haney Technical College

PANAMA CITY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – With the month of August rapidly approaching colleges and universities across the country are gearing up for the fall 2024 semester, including Haney Technical College in Panama City.

Classes begin just three weeks from now on Monday, August 5th but there is still time to get registered for the fall semester.

Some of the programs offered at the college include aviation mechanics, nursing, welding, and computer systems.

Haney is also a part of Bay District Schools, meaning BDS high school students can attend the college at little to no charge.

“For one thing, it keeps the cost reasonable,” said Haney professor Chris Becker. “Another thing is that students can go right from high school into Haney with a minimum amount of trouble. In fact, they can start at Haney before they finish high school. If you do that, there’s no cost whatsoever.”

The programs at Haney Technical College range from nine months to two years to complete.
