BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – In partnership with the City of Panama City and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S, a Voices Veterans Social is offered once a month at the Glenwood Community Center.

“VOICES stands for Veterans Outreach In the Community Expanding Social Services,” said Michelle Bryant, the event organizer.

Bryant has also mentioned there are vendors that work with the veterans, such as the Career Source Veteran representative.

The next Voices Veterans Socials are on Aug. 2, Sept. 6, and Oct. 4 from 11 a.m until 1 p.m. You can just show up, no RSVP is necessary.

“They come out to the community versus the community having to go out to them, so it’s been a win win for the community as well as the veterans that we serve,” said Bryant.

Lunch, music, and vendors are included, as well an opportunity for veterans to know each other.
