Broken Bow Eliminates McCook's Post Season Run
Quentin Terry collected three hits in four at bats, but McCook MNB Seniors lost to Broken Bow 10-6 on Sunday at Paul Brown Field. Terry hit a solo home run to left field in the fourth inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning. A ground out by Simon Garcia put McCook MNB Seniors on the board in the bottom of the first. Broken Bow captured the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second after Zach Loy doubled, and Owen Hartman singled, each scoring one run. Broken Bow scored five runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning. Hartman singled, scoring one run, Brycen Woodward scored after tagging up, Brice Chaplin doubled, scoring two runs, and Eli Coble singled, scoring one run. McCook MNB Seniors made the score 7-4 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Terry hit a solo home run to left field, and Espn Hall singled, scoring two runs. Trenton Raile began the game for McCook MNB Seniors. They gave up 11 hits and seven runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking none. Dominic Nowak started the game for Broken Bow. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking none. Hall and Bryson Gullion were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for McCook MNB Seniors. Gabe Roberts collected two hits for McCook MNB Seniors in three at bats. McCook MNB Seniors turned two double plays in the game. Broken Bow Post 126 Seniors 2024 collected 17 hits in the game. Max Denson and Coble each collected three hits for Broken Bow. Chaplin, Hartman , and Loy each drove in two runs for Broken Bow. Kayden Record collected two hits for Broken Bow in four at bats. McCook season ends at 21-20 overall.
