While most Americans are still battling the summer heat, Ree Drummond is already anticipating how the approaching fall weather will impact the flowers in her garden at her family’s Oklahoma ranch.

The Pioneer Woman host shared a gorgeous video of her dahlias on Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 8. As she panned her camera over the flowerbeds, pops of color sprang into view as one flower after the next appeared. The dahlias looked healthy and happy, making it difficult to imagine a time in the near future when the weather could change everything. In the background, the sky appeared dramatic but calm, with bright orange, red and purple hues painting the spaces between the high clouds overhead.

“I dread the first frost. 😱,” Drummond, 55, wrote in her Instagram caption. “It will be an operatic tragedy!!! (Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to post all about it. 😂).” She paired her video with a clip of the late opera singer Luciano Pavarotti singing "Nessun dorma" from Turandot to drive home her point about the dramatic change that cold weather can bring to gardens like hers.

Even so, many fans brushed off the Food Network star’s future weather concerns as they urged her to enjoy time surrounded by her flowers before summer gives way to fall.

“Forget about the first frost and enjoy every minute!” one fan wrote before adding that Drummond’s flowers “look gorgeous!”

“Just more of a reason to enjoy every magical second! ❤️,” another fan commented.

The video itself was “Breathtaking!!!🤠🤠,” one fan said as another agreed it was “Stunning.”

“Beautiful gardens! 🌸🌸🌸,” one Instagram user praised.

“This is heavenly ❤️,” another said.

“You have some of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL sunsets and sunrises!! 🌅 😍,” one fan noted as another said the colorful sky was “stunning with the dahlias ❤.”
