Travis Scott was arrested in Paris early this morning, according to several reports.

The 33-year-old rapper–born Jacques Bermon Webster–was in town for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games when he was arrested at the Georges V in the capital city.

A statement from the Paris public prosecutor’s office obtained by The Associated Press alleged that police were called to the five-star hotel early on Friday, Aug. 9, to arrest a man “nicknamed Travis Scott for violence against a security guard.”

According to the statement, the unnamed member of hotel security became involved in an altercation with the "goosebumps" artist after he attempted to intervene in a dispute between the rapper and his own bodyguard. Police are still investigating.

A rep for Scott told Parade : "We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate."

Hours before the arrest, Scott was seen during Day 13 of the Olympics alongside fellow rapper and producer Quavo , with Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin making an appearance beside them. The three were photographed spectating from the sidelines of the very close men's basketball semifinal on Thursday, Aug. 8, during which Team USA rallied over Serbia .

The Cactus Jack Records founder tweeted both during the game and afterward, first shouting out basketball legend LeBron James , "Some body tell @KingJames I need Olympic jerzzzz."

He then followed up with: "That game was f---ing wilddddddd."

Scott appeared to be in good spirits during the match, as Rubin later commented on the "insane energy" the rapper brought to the court in a video shared to Instagram.

It's been a tough summer for the rapper, who shares two children with ex Kylie Jenner . Back in June, he was arrested in Miami Beach where he was accused of disorderly intoxication and trespassing.

According to local news outlets , police were responding to a call about a fight at the Miami Beach Marina and when they arrived, Scott was involved in an argument with someone on a boat. When asked if he’d been drinking, Scott replied, “It’s Miami,” according to the report.

The disorderly intoxication charge against Scott has since been dropped, per NBC .
