Jordan Chiles ended her 2024 Paris Olympics run with two medals in gymnastics: Gold in the women's artistic team all-around and bronze in the women's floor artistic. In the wake of the Olympian's success, her mom, Gina Chiles , sent a strong message about "racist disgusting comments" aimed at Jordan.

On Friday, Aug. 9, Gina took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the hate her daughter has recently fielded.

"The racist disgusting comments are still happening in 2024. I'm tired of people who say it no longer exists," the angered mother wrote.

She added, "My daughter is a highly decorated Olympian with the biggest heart and a level of sportsmanship that is unmatched...and she's being called disgusting things."

Although Gina didn't elaborate on the attacks or where they happened, folks in the comments shared words of support.

In the comments, one X user wrote, "All I know is…You’ll never be criticized by someone who is doing more than you. You’ll always be criticized by someone doing less. Remember that."

Another supporter shared, "I think she - and you - are amazing and the best kind of people. Haters are gonna hate for terrible reasons- mostly stupidity, arrogance and jealousy. Stay strong and know that the good folks have your backs."

Yet another X user echoed, "The more gifted and talented, the athlete, the more hate they get. Your baby girl is champ and some people can’t accept that."

This wasn't the first time Gina spoke out publicly to defend Jordan. On Aug. 7, Gina wrote via X , "Y'all done being vile in these Twitter streets yet?"

Her message came on the heels of Jordan narrowly snagging the bronze medal in the floor finals on Aug. 5. The gymnast's coach submitted an inquiry immediately following her routine, revealing judges did not fully credit her for a tour jete full, per NBC New York ; Jordan's score was increased by .1, securing a third-place finish.
