Fans are here for all of the “precious” photos that Al Roker shares on social media of his granddaughter, Sky , who turned 1 last month.
The Today co-host, who recently spoke with Parade about the joys of becoming a grandfather, was just in Paris, France, to cover the 2024 Summer Olympics alongside Hoda Kotb , Savannah Guthrie and other members of the Today team. But Roker, 69, seemed happy to be back home in New York on Saturday, Aug. 10, as he enjoyed a morning walk with his granddaughter.
The father of three shared a series of selfies in his four-part weekend Instagram carousel . The first image showed Sky looking lovingly up at her grandfather as he aimed a large grin at her. Only part of his face was visible in the selfie, a trend that continued in the next two photos. The fourth photo in the series didn’t include Roker, focusing instead on a smiling Sky as she held one of her feet in her hands while sitting comfortably in her stroller.
“My little Sky and me on a #vehiclefree Park Avenue during the #summerstreets program here in NYC,” Roker wrote in his Instagram caption. His hashtags referenced New York City’s Summer Streets program in all five of the city’s boroughs this summer.
In Manhattan, select streets were closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET on Aug. 3 and 10 and will similarly be shuttered for pedestrians during the same time block on Aug. 17, according to the New York City Department of Transportation .
Fans gushed over the sweet photos of Roker with his granddaughter in the comments. While many called Sky “a doll” and a “cutie pie,” others celebrated how Roker was clearly a “Proud Grandpa!!!”
“Nothing better than time with your granddaughter❤️,” one fan wrote.
“She loves her grandpa,” another fan said.
“So adorable!” one Instagram user declared.
With Sky having just turned 1 last month, others were amazed by how quickly time has passed, with one fan noting she is “growing up so quickly.”
