Noah Lyles may be off celebrating his success at this year's Olympic Games, but not all fans are on board with his behavior after the competitor revealed that he tested positive for COVID during the games— and withheld his diagnosis from his competitors .

The athlete appeared to have cleared the virus by Saturday, Aug. 10, sharing a photo of a negative at-home COVID-19 test on X to celebrate his improved health, but with a positive result coming less than a week earlier on Tuesday—not to mention the fact that he collapsed after competing in the 200-meter dash on Thursday, where he took home the bronze medal—his actions didn't sit right with many of those watching on from home.

"I thought Noah Lyles had COVID," one person questioned as they reuploaded a video that appears to have been ripped from somebody's Instagram Story, showing the sprinter and other members of the team at a dance and night club called L’Arc Paris, where Lyles danced in close quarters with others with an American flag draped over his shoulders.

"Noah lyles didn’t have Covid when he won the 100 but suddenly did when he lost the 200 now he’s in the club dancing lmao im crying," someone else wrote , sharing the same clip.

Some weren't convinced the negative test was taken on Saturday, posing conspiracy theories that he faked the whole thing when he failed to earn the top spot in the 200-meter dash.

"I don’t even think bro really had covid dawg lol im still a believer that if he won that 200, that covid story never would’ve come out," one reply read.

"Oh Woow, your Covid recovery was faster than your 200 meters run," another criticized, while someone else declared him the "World champion of COVID recovery!"

Others thought the video could be older, with one writing, "Tbh, this is the moment where he probably caught COVID lol."

The reaction is reminiscent of the backlash Lady Gaga recently faced after making it known that she performed several concerts while sick with Covid, with fans declaring she "should be in prison" for "putting the health and safety of not only yourself, but THOUSANDS of people at risk."
