Billy Joel Shares Rare Personal Photos of 9-Year-Old Daughter Della Rose on Her Birthday

Billy Joel doesn't often share personal photos of his family members on social media, so when he does, fans take note. And recently, the "New York State of Mind" singer posted pictures of his daughter, Della Rose , for her birthday.

On Monday, Aug. 12, Joel took to Facebook with a tribute for Della on her big day.

"Happy 9th Birthday, Della Rose," the doting dad, 75, captioned his update. "Watching you grow and shine, keeps us all in awe. We love you."

Included in the post were snapshots of the birthday girl posing while riding a horse, crouching next to goats and sitting near a small fire truck ride.

Joel and his wife, Alexis Roderick —who have been married since 2015— also have a younger daughter, Remy Anne Joel , 6.

In the comments, fans reacted to Joel's birthday post and shared well-wishes. One Facebook user declared, "Della, you have the most amazing smile and spunk! Enjoy everyday with fun, laughter and love."

Another wrote, "Happy Birthday She is your double, while someone else commented, "Happy Birthday beautiful Della! Have an amazing day!"

Someone else shared, "Happy 9th, Birthday, you were amazing in Cardiff on stage such confidence and charisma at such a young age."

On Aug. 9, Della and Remy joined their father on stage during a concert in Wales' capital city. Video clips of the girls adorably singing "My Life" with Joel have circulated widely on social media.

Aside from Della and Remy, Joel shares a daughter, Alexa Ray Joel , 38, with his ex-wife, Christie Brinkley .
