Kylie Kelce is ready for back to school, which for her, means back to her coaching duties.

The mom of three and wife of retired NFL star Jason Kelce will be returning to her field hockey coaching gig at Philadelphia's Lower Merion High School this fall, marking her eighth consecutive year holding the position.

Kylie, 32, recently opened up to PEOPLE about what it's like coaching the high school's varsity team, talking specifically about the "wide range of athletes" she gets to work with.

"Some people will decide to go on to play Division One. Other people won't play past their senior year," she said in the new interview published Thursday, Aug. 15. "They're really there to just enjoy the sport and enjoy time with their friends. In our situation, all are welcome."

Kylie, who played college field hockey at Cabrini University, went on to stress the importance of team sports, which she said helps with both confidence and the ability to work with others.

"Even for the people who don't choose to play after high school, they still get to take that away," she said. "So we want them to be more confident when they leave. We want them to be able to work with a team, whether that's athletically or in a workplace or in a classroom."

In addition to helping her athletes improve their performance on the field, Kylie said, "Ultimately, I'm trying to help them win at life. So all of those character-building opportunities are things that we focus on mostly."

But Kylie isn't the only one in the family getting ready to go back to work soon, as her husband is also prepping to start new job off the field.

Jason, 36, who retired from playing with the Philadelphia Eagles, has since joined ESPN's Monday Night Countdown team —and his wife has no doubt that he will succeed.

"I truly believe he's good at everything," Kylie added in her conversation with PEOPLE . "I have full faith that he's going to tackle his new position and excel."
