McDonald's fans were so excited about the newest Collector's Meals that dropped this month—but now that they've got their hands on the actual products, many customers are simply not Lovin' It.

The fast food chain's latest edition of collector's cups is causing quite a stir online after customers were sorely disappointed to learn the new cups don't hold a candle to some of their predecessors.

The Collector's Meal, which became available earlier in the week, combines the brand's classic food items with one of six collectible cups, each stamped with nostalgic characters that have all been past Happy Meal themes. Some of the most coveted characters on the cups include Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Barbie, Hello Kitty, Shrek, Jurassic Park and more.

Unfortunately for many customers, the cup quality wasn't exactly what they were used to.

One fan, Miss B, who goes by the TikTok handle @littlemiss1stgrade, made a video to air out her grievances with the newest plastic collector's cups, comparing them to the glass cups the restaurant used to give out.

Describing the glasses from years past as "nice, heavy" and even "engraved" with a McDonald's "M" on the bottom, Miss B compared the old cups side-by-side with the new ones, which are made of plastic.

"I'm so disappointed," she said in the clip while showing off the lack of quality in the new cups—and fellow cup collectors in the comments appeared to be just as let down.

"I was so excited at first then I realized they weren't like the glasses from our past so I'm not even going to waste my time tracking them down," one user wrote.

Someone else agreed, "I was just about to go to McDonald's to get one. This has changed my mind."

"Not only that buttttt the price of the meals to get a plastic cup! Insane" another person lamented.

And to make matters worse, the plastic cups aren't dishwasher safe either. "I got it home and about threw it out the window. I hate handwashing cups more than anything."

Fans in Canada aren't having the same problem, as McDonald's Canadian locations are offering glass cups, though they don't appear to be as colorful.

"Crappy we aren't getting the coloured ones like the USA..." one Canadian fan wrote under a Facebook post about the clear glass cups, to which someone else reminded them, "At least ours are not plastic!"

It seems to be a lose-lose situation!
