Taylor Swift fans have made the call: the singer's most recent transfer of the "22" hat tops them all.
A video uploaded to TikTok on Monday, Aug. 19, shortly after the second-to-last night of the Eras Tour in London—and Europe altogether—ended, showed what one fan has declared is "easily the best" interaction between Swift and one of her fans "the whole tour."
The clip was directed at the big screens behind the stage, showing a blown-up version of what happened at the end of the catwalk as the young girl enthusiastically danced and sang along with Swift as she approached. But as she grew closer, it seemed to strike her that the Taylor Swift was about to be standing just a foot away. She looked back at her family member, pointing to where Swift stood and seemingly choking on her own breath before reaching out both hands and waving at the singer.
"Oh my God, I love you so much," she appeared to tell her as Swift fell to her knees and enveloped her in a hug, repeating the sentiment as they finally pulled away. As Swift placed the hat she gives to one fan every night on the girl's head, she seemed to add, "You saved my life ," eventually blowing several kisses at Swift and holding up her iconic heart-hands gesture.
As Swift and her dancers turned to head back up the stage, she waved at each member of the whole group, still dancing her heart out at the end of the stage. The pop superstar spun around at the end of the song, pointing out the young girl, drawing a heart in the air and sending an air kiss back her way before mouthing, "I love you!"
"The cutest 22 hat there ever was," the uploader added over the video, and fans were in complete agreement.
"THE WAY TAYLOR GAVE HER SO MUCH FLYING KISS😭😭😭 SO CUTEE AAAAAA," another comment read, while someone else said, "The way she’s waving at every dancer after is so cute."
"'You saved my life' I’m gonna cry," another wrote, while others mourned how young the girl was to have gone through that—though another thought she may have actually said, "You changed my life," instead.
"everyday i cry to a 22 hat video," others admitted, with another comment reading, "I get chills everytime 😭😭❤️🩹❤️🩹."
"One day I won’t cry watching the 22 hat exchanges…." someone else said. "Today is not that day."
Fans have agreed that they lose "all cynicism" watching the heartwarming interactions , and while there's much we'll miss when the Eras Tour officially wraps up in December, watching young fans having their dreams come true certainly tops the list.
