Adam Sandler Flaunts Major Weight Loss in New Photos

Adam Sandler is looking fit—and apparently, he has his daughters to thank.

The 57-year-old film star recently showed off his significant weight loss transformation while stepping out in New York City for the premiere of his new Netflix comedy special, Adam Sandler: Love You . He was accompanied by his longtime wife, Jackie Sandler , 49, who posed with him on the red carpet.

In photos from the event—which took place at The Plaza Hotel on Tuesday, Aug. 20—Sandler appeared to be looking extra trim, something he credits to his daughters, who gave him the push to take his health more seriously.

Speaking to PEOPLE about his daughters Sadie , 18, and Sunny , 15, during Tuesday's event, Sandler said, "They always look out for me and my health just like I used to with my dad."

"You go, 'Man, I want this guy around,' so I used to scream at my dad to quit smoking, and my kids scream at me to just calm down and try to eat a little more like a normal person," he shared.

Earlier this year, Sandler revealed he dropped 25 pounds for a role in Spaceman opposite Carey Mulligan .

During his time in New York City, Sandler also stopped by The Tonight Show to chat with host Jimmy Fallon about all of his exciting new projects in the works, including a sequel to his hit 1996 movie Happy Gilmore .

Not only did he confirm that the sequel film will start filming "in a couple of weeks," Sandler also told Fallon that there is some sort of cameo planned for Travis Kelce .

"We have a nice something for Travis," he said, before going on to hype up the Chiefs tight end as a "cool, very nice guy."

"You would love him in real life," he added to Fallon. "What a handsome guy...He's a stud and he's so funny."

And that's high praise coming from a comedy king himself!

Sandler's new Netflix special Adam Sandler: Love You premieres Tuesday, Aug. 27 on Netflix.
