Tom Brady 's son Jack is another year older, and fans can't believe how fast the teenager is growing.
Jack officially rang in his 17th birthday on Thursday, Aug. 22, a milestone that warranted a heartfelt social media post from his retired NFL star dad.
While Brady, 47, took to Instagram to share some recent pics of Jack to celebrate the occasion, fans couldn't get over how close they are in height now.
"He's already taller than you," one social media user pointed out.
"17 damn!" another follower exclaimed.
In his caption, Brady wrote, "Happy 17th birthday to the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful 17-year-old, I know. You are truly a blessing in my life and I am so grateful to watch you mature into a young man."
Jack—whose full name is John Edward Thomas Moynahan —is the oldest of Brady's three kids. The seven-time Super Bowl champ welcomed Jack with former partner Bridget Moynahan in 2007 before welcoming two more children with his now ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen . He and the Brazilian supermodel, who divorced in 2022, share son Benjamin , 14, and daughter Vivian , 11.
The proud dad continued to gush over his firstborn in the post, telling Jack, "Your love of family, friends, school, athletics, hard work and dedication to everything you put your energy into are just some of your amazing qualities. I love spending every minute with you and I cherish our time together. (Those are all my favorite things about you. My least favorite is that you can beat me in one on one now 🙄😂.)"
"I love you always and forever, happy birthday," he concluded, while signing the post, "dad."
Not only did Brady's post show how tall Jack has grown, but fans were also in disbelief over how much the teen resembles his father.
"He's your twin!!" one user pointed out. Another commented that Jack has "His mother's eyes. Otherwise you're twins."
Aside from his dad's post, Jack also received some shoutouts from other sports legends, including Brady's friend and former teammate on the New England Patriots, Julian Edelman .
The former wide receiver commented on the photos, "Hbd jack attack. ❤️🐿️."
"He’s the best! HBD Jack," added sports commentator Erin Andrews .
