Sprite , which was introduced in 1961, was originally a response to other lemon-lime sodas like 7UP. Sprite quickly became a beloved beverage, noted for its tangy sweetness, and it has had many variations over the years, including Sprite Cherry, Sprite Cranberry, Sprite Tropical Mix and Sprite Ginger. Some of these flavors last a while, but others are limited-time flavors that create a cult-like following.

Now, rumor has it that one of those flavors will be coming back—and this time it's for good. Sprite Chill , which was introduced at the beginning of 2024 as a limited-time offering, is said to be coming back to stores as a permanent flavor. Content creator @snachwithzach shared the news of its return, citing fellow food news creator @teamsupernovafb as the source.

At the time of publication, there was no announcement on Sprite's social channels and the Sprite website still says the drink is a limited-edition flavor. But fans, including the person who commented "Thank God!" on Zach's post, are crossing their fingers that the news is true.

Sprite Chill is a cherry-lime flavor that puts a twist on the classic Sprite formula by introducing a cooling sensation. This cooling effect, which has been compared to the sensation you get with menthol, is designed to intensify with each sip, which adds a unique sensory experience to the classic soda.

According to the Coca-Cola Company, the makers of Sprite, "While similar technology is used in confectionary and baking, Sprite Chill is one of the first sparkling soft drinks to deliver a cooling sensation without an accompanying mint flavor."

Sprite Chill was originally supposed to be removed from shelves in July 2024, but it was extremely popular, so it's already making its way back, barely a month after it left, and fans can't wait!

"Sprite Chill is literally Chef's Kiss. So happy to see this," someone commented on Zach's Tiktok video. It seems like a lot of people are!

"That Sprite Chill is my new favorite," another person said. It does sound intriguing.

"That Sprite Chill is my jam," someone else said. We're going to have to try it.

"Thank GOD Sprite Chill is back PERMANENTLY!" someone chimed in. This is definitely a popular flavor and several people said it's great paired with spicy chips.

Sprite Chill comes in regular and Zero-Sugar and it should be back on store shelves nationwide in the coming weeks. @teamsupernovafb spotted cases at a Target location, so you might want to start your hunt there.
