Travis Kelce traded in his Chiefs uniform and streetwear for a classic navy blue suit in what some would call a style switch up for the fashion-forward NFL star , but it was his "great" hair that fans couldn't stop talking about online.

Earlier this week, the 34-year-old tight end attended the 2024 Kansas City Sports Awards, where he was met with honors for his achievements on the field during the 2023-2024 NFL season.

The 51st annual event, which is held by the Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation, honors outstanding individuals for their commitment to and achievement in sports. On Tuesday, Aug. 27, Kelce was recognized as the Polsinelli Sportsman of the Year.

But it wasn't his accolades that fans fawned over; instead, it was the slicked-back hairstyle that the three-time Super Bowl champ doesn't appear to have sported onstage before.

"His hair looks great!!!" one X (formerly Twitter) user exclaimed in response to a clip of Kelce's appearance.

"He looks very handsome," another added before someone else suggested Kelce "polishes up real nice."

"I can’t lie…" a third admitted. "The hair & the stache… I love this look on Travis Kelce!"

Several others compared his new look to that of a mob boss, a retired football player, or Jason Sudeikis ' titular character in Ted Lasso , with one joking , "Close enough, welcome back Ted Lasso."

Along with the New Heights podcaster , Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo was also met with an award and named the Burns & McDonnell Coach of the Year.

“As Kansas City continues to generate unprecedented excitement for its national and international sporting events, these honorees represent the best of our local sporting community,” Kathy Nelson , the president and CEO of the Kansas City Sports Commission, said in a statement . “Together, these individuals and their organizations play a critical role driving fan engagement, awareness and opportunity for Kansas City.”
