Don Johnson’s Photo With Former Mother-In-Law Tippi Hedren Makes Hearts 'Melt'

Don Johnson recently spent some time with one of his former co-stars, who was also once his mother-in-law.

The Miami Vice star shared a photo from their reunion on Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 28. In the snapshot, the actor wore a pink button-down shirt, lightweight yellow jacket and jeans, which he paired with a light-colored belt. Beneath his bright red Flat Creek baseball cap—an apparent nod to his Missouri hometown—he also wore a huge smile.

Clasping onto her former son-in-law’s right arm was Tippi Hedren , who wore a flowing blue outfit featuring a peacock feather design. The Birds star contrasted her bright red lipstick and matching bracelet with light green fingernail polish. Like Johnson, Hedren also flashed a big smile for the photo.

Johnson, 74, and Hedren, 94, posed together inside a room decorated with black and white striped wallpaper and olive green window coverings, though it was unclear where exactly they were at the time the photo was taken.

“Beautiful….my co-star, Tippy Hedren,” Johnson wrote in his loving Instagram caption.

The history between the two actors goes back more than 50 years. They starred together in the 1973 film The Harrad Experiment , and soon after established a more personal relationship when Johnson began dating Hedren’s daughter, Working Girl actress Melanie Griffith . Johnson and Griffith, 67, married briefly in 1976 before parting ways, though they reunited later and married again in 1989. The two welcomed one child together, Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson , before divorcing in 1996.

Fans were thrilled to see that Johnson maintains a friendly relationship with his former mother-in-law, both of whom one Instagram user noted “look amazing!”

“What a beautiful picture of you both😍! It's so great to see you smiling together 😃👍🥰!!” one fan wrote as another praised the “Beautiful 94yrs young” Hedren.

“My heart just melted 🥹❤️,” another fan gushed.

“Wow 😮 - I am missing all words,” one person commented. “What great share. APPLAUSE to both of you !!”
